Frequently Asked Questions

Can I move by business from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online?

Yes. We can help you move your books online from whatever current version of desktop that you might be using. As a Quickbooks partner, we can manage your online account and we can incorporate license fees into your monthly billing with our firm.

What are the advantages of using Quickbooks online?

While there are many advantages, one of the things I hear most often from clients that have made the switch is the efficiency of having instant access to their accounting systems through their mobile devices. You also no longer have to worry about desktops or local servers crashing. With the online service, we are able to login and help you real time with any issues you may have.

What is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor?

QuickBooks Proadvisor is an accounting or bookkeeping professional that is trained, tested and certified by Intuit on a range of advanced, QuickBooks specific topics and subject matter. Certification involves extensive training, a two-hour exam where you must score a minimum to 80%, and a yearly recertification exam.

What is an Enrolled Agent?

An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.

Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), have unlimited practice rights. This means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before.  [www.irs.gov]
